you aren’t asking for too much!

Wanting a life and career where you feel confident, valued, and aligned with who you are is not asking too much. It’s a sign you’re ready to move toward what truly matters to you.

How I work

You’ve come to the right place.

I’m Nichole, and I help professionals just like you: People who are struggling with anxiety or depression, work-related stress, or confidence issues who have it within them to thrive in their careers once again, but just need a little support to get there.

I help my clients find confidence, meaning, and peace in their career by equipping them with the tools they need to better navigate stressful and toxic work situations that are affecting their self-confidence and anxiety level.

Many of today’s solutions for career and life struggles focus on replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts; this can make a person feel like they’re fighting the same “fight” over and over again because the negative thoughts keep coming back. I help clients build the skills to face their distressing thoughts and feelings with compassion, stay grounded in their values, and take meaningful steps forward in their career and life.

First, we will work on grounding techniques so you’ll have the skills to ground yourself when your distressing thoughts and feelings take hold. Second, we will focus on noticing your thoughts so you can “catch” the first negative thought that is causing your stress and anxiety. Then, we will use tools to help you learn how to keep those distressing thoughts from having power over you so you can take committed action towards your values. Through our work together, you’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence you need to thrive in your work and your personal life.

I am dedicated to helping people find success in their careers and joy and Meaning in their lives

  • My training in mental health and career counseling means that I have the expertise to help you when you’re struggling with job and life challenges. After all, it can be helpful to work with someone who “gets” what it means to be a professional struggling with toxic work situations, imposter syndrome, or what’s next in their career path.

  • I’ve been there. I’ve navigated toxic work situations, dealt with imposter syndrome and self-confidence issues, and have changed careers multiple times. I know that sometimes you just want to quit and walk away. When we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.

  • My background of two graduate-level counseling degrees and licensure, an undergrad in Business (from the IU Kelley School in Bloomington), 10 years in the corporate world, 9 years in higher ed (5 of which were in a non-profit), and 13 years as a full-time faculty member at Kelley has provided me with a wealth of information to help clients in many different situations.  From imposter syndrome, to working in a stressful field, to toxic workplaces, to layoffs, I’ve been there, and can help.
