Are you being held back in your career?

Suffering from imposter syndrome or self-confidence challenges can make it difficult to move forward in your career!

WHATEVER YOU’RE EXPERIENCING, YOU’RE BEGINNING TO NOTICE THE IMPACT OF Imposter syndrome in MANY FACETS OF YOUR LIFE:

  • You constantly replay situations from work (or your relationships) in your head, thinking about how you should have reacted, worried that you said the wrong thing or didn’t come across as smart enough, making it hard to relax after the workday ends, and even go to sleep!

  • You’ve started to avoid taking risks at work like speaking up in meetings, applying for promotions, or taking on leadership roles because you’re convinced you’ll be exposed as a fraud.

  • Imposter syndrome doesn’t just affect your career—it can seep into your closest relationships. You might pull away from loved ones, fearing they’ll “see through you,” or rely heavily on their reassurance to quiet self-doubt. Over time, this cycle can leave you feeling isolated and misunderstood, even when surrounded by people who care about you.

  • Imposter syndrome can make enjoying your hobbies or getting together with friends difficult. Instead of relaxing or having fun you may feel like a fraud, second-guess what you’re saying or doing, and pull back from the people and activities that once brought you energy.

Therapy can help:

Create space for your thoughts of self-doubt without letting your them control you. Instead of trying to quiet your inner critic, you’ll learn how to relate to your thoughts differently so they no longer keep you from speaking up in meetings, taking calculated risks, or being fully present.

Reduce the impact of your negative self-talk. You’ll learn to notice and distance yourself from thoughts like “I’m not good enough” or “I’m going to mess this up,” so you stay more focused and effective, even when anxious thoughts show up in the background.

Identify what imposter syndrome is really costing you. We’ll take a look at how these thoughts and feelings of self-doubt and self-criticism are affecting your time, energy, relationships, and ability to move up in your career. This will allow you to clearly see what’s at stake and begin to reclaim what matters most to you.

Take meaningful action, even when doubt shows up. You’ll build the skills to move forward with courage and flexibility so you can apply for that promotion, start that new venture, or simply stop overworking to prove your worth.

I’LL HELP GUIDE YOU THROUGH THIS PROCESS, using ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - explained in the FAQs). I will tailor each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My passion for helping with imposter syndrome and self-confidence issues comes from a place of compassion and having been there. I experienced imposter syndrome several years ago when I interested in starting a new professional journey. I didn’t think I knew enough or had the skills to do it well and succeed. Once I learned that my thoughts and feelings aren’t barriers I needed to eliminate, but signals we can learn from, I was able to move past my imposter syndrome and successfully start my journey.

Fighting with or trying to avoid our distressing thoughts never really works; they keep coming back. It would be my honor to help you with yours.

FAQs

  • This is something I hear often. ACT (described below) can help you explore the gap between how things look and how they feel—so you’re not just keeping up appearances, but building a life that feels real, steady, and aligned with who you are.

  • Most of our time will focus on what’s happening in your life now, your thoughts, emotions, and the things you care about. If any of your past experiences come up and you’d like to explore them, we can make space for those too, but in a way that supports your current goals.

  • Everyone is different, but many people start noticing shifts in their confidence early on. This isn’t because the self-doubt disappears, but because they’re responding to it differently. The goal is to use flexibility, self-kindness, and take actions that are aligned with your values.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) an approach to therapy that allows you to open up to your current experience (thoughts, feelings, situations) and be present in the moment so you can take committed action towards what you value in life. The goal is to not only feel better but to live better and more in line with who you are and what matters most to you.

  • Great to hear! Feel free to click the button below to schedule a (free) 15-minute consultation session where I’ll ask you to describe a bit about what’s going on with you. Then, I’ll share how I work, answer any questions you have, and if everything seems like a good fit, we’ll schedule your first appointment.
